How would you describe your design style?
While my family room is very cozy, contemporary yet coastal – I feel like my style changes throughout the home. I love good form, clean lines and spaces that are calm and inviting. I loathe clutter but with 5 kids, it’s hard to hid it. I usually don’t choose one style when it comes to design, I buy what I like and make it work. I definitely would say, I break the rules when it comes to decorating.
What are your favorite home trends happening now? One of my favorite home trends and current trends in my home is the pops of coral. I love adding a touch of color into my home and anything that is close to the pink hues like coral. Adding color to any room really brings it all together! When I was designing my living room, with the amazing Danielle Oakley Interiors, even though coral wasn’t in the plan, bringing in touches of color throughout the space really brought the room together.
Biggest Splurge for home decor:
Considering it’s the first large canvas I’ve bought, I would have to say it’s my beautiful stretched canvas from Michelle Armas. It completely makes this space and was the inspiration around the entire room. It was well worth every penny — it’s just gorgeous!
Biggest Steal for home decor:
I absolutely love this golden decorative leaf that I got from HomeGoods for $7.99. It sits on top of books on my credenza and it’s just a pretty decorative item. You would never know it was under $8!
What is your favorite room in the house?
This is such a tough question! I absolutely love my master bedroom, it’s such a pretty place but the mix of pretty decor in my family room, may top the cake.
