Step right up! We’re sharing a wild and whimsical Dumbo birthday party inspired by Disney’s new film! The birthday girl wanted nothing more than flying elephants when she turned for and can you blame her? What little kid could watch Dumbo and not be mesmerized?! The magical story came to life thanks to her mom, Sally, of Pretty Little Events. It took shape with giant balloons, colorful candy, and carnival games. Sounds fun, now, doesn’t it?! So don’t walk, don’t run, but soar below to see the spectacular show! Er, birthday party!
Sally shares, Come one, come all to the greatest party of them all!
For this high flying adventure circus party, we knew there had to be balloons involved! Not just any balloons but a fun and whimsical installation to set the stage for the kid’s table. The color inspiration came from the darling little invitations that were purchased online on Zazzle. We used a light gray, seafoam green, and buttery yellow color palette. The table was filled with colorful nostalgic treats like twisted marshmallow puffs and rock candy lollipops. Creative Amme created custom Dumbo silhouette and calligraphy name drink stir sticks. My favorite element though had to be the laser cut acrylic feathers we used as favor tags for all the little Dumbo plush toys each child received, along with a classic Disney Little Golden Book.
A talented group of vendors created the most amazing sweet treats. Oh Sugar Grove‘s cookies are beyond magical. She created edible treats and did the most amazing royal icing art on Dumbo sugar cookies. Sweetleemade provided mini donuts, chocolate gems, and cute paddle bar cake pops. Josephine LA made a fun confetti buttercream cake topped with fun meringues.
We kept the party feminine in its detail by incorporating lush spring florals of all of our favorite flowers…. garden roses, ranunculus, daffodils, sweet peas, and chamomile flowers. Sally of Fleurie sure knows how to spoil a girl with the most amazing bouquets to grace the tablescape and cocktail tables! The party was a huge success and you better believe we will be the first in line to watch the new Dumbo movie!
